PLASMA welding TECHNOLOGy
Plasma welding - officially called plasma arc welding, PAW - is very similar to TIG welding. It is a further development of the TIG process in order to increase productivity. For plasma welding there are two separate gas streams: the plasma gas that flows around the tungsten electrode and then forms the core of the plasma arc, and the shielding gas that protects the welding pool. This technique is so well-mastered at VSMI that it approaches the quality of laser welding.
AT VSMI THIS WELDING TECHNIQUE IS PERFORMED ON 2 MACHINES
Fillet welding machine
